WeddingTrend: Glam up your look with hair accessories

When you’re attending a wedding function, it’s important to look good. Ofcourse, the makeup, outfit and jewellery are always top-of-mind, but what’s really making a statement now-days in wedding looks are the hair accessories. This lets you look dressed up without being too flashy. Here are a few recommendations:

Studded Headband

A studded headband can look amazing with a messy bun. It also works well on women with short hair. So, pick up some head bands with shiny sparkling studs and you’re sure to look  super stylish!
Style Tip: Team this with a cocktail dress or with an outfit you plan to wear at the less formal wedding functions.

Maang Tika

This is one accessory that combines traditional jewelry with contemporary fashion. So if you would like to flaunt a traditional look, go for an amazing stone-studded tika with matching earrings.
Style Tip: From sarees to lehengas, anarkalis and more, a mang tika goes well with any traditional outfit.

A jhoomar is a chunky hair accessory that gives a very royal and classy look. However, unless it’s your D-day, don’t wear both – a mang tika and a jhoomar together – the two together look too OTT.
Style Tip: From sarees to lehengas, anarkalis and more, a jhoomar goes well with any traditional outfit.

The Strings & Chains
And, then there are these which are currently very much in vogue and come in various styles and stones. Picking out a few:

Pearl Strings are light in weight and come with a small mang tika.
Style Tip: It looks wonderful with pearl-adorned outfits.

The Studded Strings
is an elaborate version of a maang tika with studded strings.
Style Tip: It looks lovely with the on-trend crop top and long skirt look.

Multi-layer Chain

From the wedding day to the in between functions, the multi-layer chain headpiece in gold finish always looks stunning.
Style Tip: To rock a boho chic look – try smoky eyes makeup with this hair accessory. Wear this with a dhoti pant saree.

Single Studded Chain

Look hot and exotic with a single silver or studded head chain. If you plan to twist and turn your hair strands from one side, then let the other side be overstated with this loosely hanging studded chain.
Style Tip: Wear this with an indo-fusion outfit.

No matter how much you think this is for the elderly women, it works well on every age group. Don’t overdo though. They are catchy yet not flashy.
Style Tip: Use them to pull strands off the face, specifically if you are aiming for a neater look.
